Recovery of the waste generated in the olive oil extraction process

The project offers a new process by which oil mills produce two new by-products from the waste generated in the oil industry.

The use of these generated by-products is ecological and efficient. Thus, it gives an added value to the waste. The products are used as biostimulants and zero residue bio-protectors to improve growth and protection of crops, as functional products for animal feed. In addition, it considerably reduces the reduction of polluting emissions.

Project financed by the European Union-LIFE programme. The participants are public research bodies, companies from the agro-industrial sector, olive and olive oil producers, companies producing bio-fertilizers and phytostrengtheners.
