Greendomo, sustainable crops in the city


The European project Greendomo will make it possible to obtain a closer cultivation, reducing the consumption of resources in terms of cost and time spent in transport and storage of food from the producer to the consumer.

This R&D project is sustainable with the environment as it minimizes the water and carbon footprint as much as possible, while reducing the consumption of phytosanitary products for pest control.

Greendomo seeks to develop an intensive production system for urban cultivation without artificial lighting, which allows the integration of new multilevel techniques to achieve high productivity in polyculture systems.

From a technical point of view, the aim is to achieve higher crop cycles and yields, using multilevel cultivation techniques, to reach up to 22 times more production than traditional greenhouse crops, without having to incorporate artificial lighting.
