The project solves an environmental problem. It is the degradation of pesticide residues contained in water produced on farms from remnants in containers and treatment tanks and from the cleaning of machinery and equipment. The project involves the use of innovative equipment located on the farms. An alternative and ecological technology such as solar photocatalysis is applied.
Life-Aquemfree is a European project that has been carried out in the Region of Murcia. It is coordinated by the Instituto Murciano de Investigación y Desarrollo Agrario y Alimentario (IMIDA) with the cooperation of the Department of Agricultural Chemistry of the University of Murcia (UMU), a company from Murcia providing Fertirrigation Engineering Services and a Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives
