The SEARRISOST project (New technological advances for sustainable management of irrigation with desalinated sea water – RTC-2017-6192-2), has as its main objective the optimisation of intelligent fertigation of citrus crops irrigated with desalinated sea water.
Furthermore, this project will pay special attention to boron phytotoxicity, since citrus fruits are among the most sensitive, by testing and studying techniques for its reduction.
The project, which is being carried out between 2018 and 2021, is financed by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, the State Research Agency and the ERDF. The Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, the Instituto Murciano de Investigación y Desarrollo Agrario y Alimentario, Imida, and the companies Nutricontrol S.L. and Ecohidro Agua y Medio Ambiente EBT S.L. are participating.
