The project realised for the Government of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates consists of a cellular polycarbonate greenhouse with two cultivation sectors: one for hydroponic cultivation and one for soil cultivation. The two sectors are separated by a mesh service corridor (to collect air for the cooling system) and an attached sandwich panel service area.
The greenhouse has the following equipment: hanging steel channel system in the hydroponic irrigation sector; evaporative cooling system with pad/fan; high-pressure misting system; thermal screen and shading system with rack-and-pinion drive; centralised climate control system on a PC; irrigation system; air recirculation fans; system for collecting the drainage of excess water from irrigation, transport to tank and ozone disinfection treatment and recirculation.
