The international trade fair held at IFEMA Madrid has highlighted the technological and agro-industrial potential of the Region of Murcia, with strong participation from AgritechMurcia member companies.
Fruit Attraction 2026 has once again established itself as one of the leading meeting points for the international fruit and vegetable industry. Over three days, professionals, companies and institutions from around the world gathered in Madrid to share innovations, build partnerships and move towards more efficient, technologically advanced and sustainable agriculture.
This year’s edition also reached a significant attendance milestone: 55,200 visitors on its second day, the highest single-day attendance ever recorded at an IFEMA Madrid trade fair, according to figures released by the organisers.
Against this backdrop, AgritechMurcia has strengthened its position as a leading agro-industrial group, showcasing the collective ability of its member companies to develop comprehensive agricultural solutions tailored to the needs of different countries and regions.

A landmark agreement to promote Murcia’s agricultural technology in Latin America
One of the most significant institutional developments at Fruit Attraction 2026 was the signing of an agreement between the President of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, and the Executive President of CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, Sergio Díaz-Granados.
This partnership will promote the transfer of knowledge, innovation and agricultural technology developed in the Region of Murcia to countries across Latin America and the Caribbean, creating new international expansion opportunities for regional companies.
The agreement places particular emphasis on strategic areas such as efficient water management, the modernisation of agricultural infrastructure and the technological advancement of production systems, fields in which Murcia has extensive experience.
Both institutions also plan to launch the CAF-Murcia Agricultural Prosperity Conferences from 2027 onwards, conceived as a permanent platform for cooperation and exchange between institutions, specialists and companies from both regions.
The collaboration also opens the door to exploring new long-term financing mechanisms for regional infrastructure.
AgritechMurcia: the strength of a group capable of delivering comprehensive agricultural projects
Participation in Fruit Attraction has provided an opportunity to highlight one of AgritechMurcia’s main competitive advantages: its ability to combine knowledge, engineering, technology and business expertise to deliver agricultural projects from start to finish.
From its shared exhibition space in Hall 7, Stand C20-D20, AgritechMurcia held professional and institutional meetings and showcased the solutions developed by its member companies.
The trade fair also featured group companies exhibiting at their own stands, further increasing the visibility of agricultural technology from Murcia.
This collective representation demonstrates that AgritechMurcia’s true strength lies in the complementary expertise of its companies: specialised solutions that, when developed and implemented in a coordinated manner, can address the major challenges facing international agriculture.
Institutional support and new opportunities for international cooperation
During the trade fair, the AgritechMurcia stand also welcomed a visit from the Regional Minister of Agriculture of the Region of Murcia, who had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the group’s solutions and exchange views with its representatives.
AgritechMurcia thus continues to consolidate an agro-industrial model based on innovation, business cooperation and the ability to turn agricultural challenges into practical, efficient and sustainable projects.
AgritechMurcia welcomes institutional representatives from Africa at Fruit Attraction 2026
On the final day of Fruit Attraction 2026, AgritechMurcia welcomed representatives from Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal to its stand, accompanied by members of the German organisation Import Promotion Desk (IPD), which is linked to Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The visit formed part of an international study and training programme organised by IPD in Madrid, aimed at business support institutions and foreign trade promotion organisations from African and Latin American countries.
Participating organisations included the Conseil National des Exportations (CNE) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d’Ivoire (CCI-CI), as well as the Senegalese Export Promotion Agency (ASEPEX).
The meeting provided an opportunity to introduce the international delegations to AgritechMurcia’s model, which is based on integrating technologies, agronomic expertise and agricultural solutions tailored to the specific needs of each region.
The visit further strengthens AgritechMurcia’s international positioning and its role as a strategic partner for governments and institutions, encouraging knowledge exchange and the identification of new opportunities for cooperation in agricultural development.
