AgritechMurcia recently hosted a distinguished delegation from the Poltava Region (Ukraine) on a technical visit that highlighted the agricultural potential of both territories. Although separated by thousands of kilometres, Murcia and Poltava share the same vision: more efficient, sustainable and humane agriculture, driven by cutting-edge technology and strategic alliances.

Murcia: an international model of resilient agriculture
Murcia, recognised as one of the leading agricultural regions in southern Europe, produces more than 20% of the fruit and vegetables that Spain exports to the EU, in addition to its exports to more than 140 countries. This leadership is not the result of chance, but rather the development of a high-tech agricultural ecosystem that has been able to adapt to adverse climatic conditions — droughts, poor soils and water shortages — with innovative solutions in irrigation, automation, climate control and efficient use of resources, among other important innovations.
In this context, the visit by the Ukrainian delegation served to showcase the AgritechMurcia model as an international benchmark in turnkey agro-industrial projects, with technical and training support and a strong focus on meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

🤝 Technology, collaboration and inclusive development
During the technical mission, representatives from Poltava gained first-hand knowledge of the solutions developed by companies in the AgritechMurcia group, such as:
💧 HIDROCONTA, specialising in water management, consumption monitoring and automation of hydraulic networks.
🌿 NOVAGRIC, with advanced technology in greenhouses, climate control and intensive agricultural production.
🔬 AgritechMurcia and INFO Región de Murcia, as a unique model of cooperation between companies, science and public administration for the development of high-impact agricultural solutions.
In addition, real-life success stories in the comprehensive management of agricultural projects were presented, demonstrating the group’s ability to operate anywhere in the world, with a special focus on rural areas with specific needs for economic development, technical training and inclusion.

🌱 Technology at the service of people
One of the highlights was the meeting with the Cepaim Foundation, where strategies for community development, migrant inclusion and strengthening the local social fabric were discussed. The Poltava delegation and the Spanish representatives agreed to work on a Memorandum of Cooperation, laying the foundations for future joint projects that integrate agricultural, social and human aspects.
