As part of the Automation and Digitalization of the Water Cycle project, 32,675 smart water meters are being supplied to various towns in Galicia. These devices will allow remote reading of water consumption, optimizing the efficiency and management of the urban water cycle.
Metering equipment plays a fundamental role in the management of the water service, both in the technical control of the network and in customer service. Its function is key to the accurate calculation of consumption and the equitable distribution of costs among subscribers, generating confidence and transparency in billing.
Smart water meters stand out for their advanced technology:

- Integrated NB-IoT communication, enabling real-time remote data transmission.
- Optimized connections, facilitating installation and compatibility with existing infrastructures.
