PEACH AND NECTARINE PLANTATION MONITORING

Project

A monitoring system was implemented in a peach and nectarine plantation in an area with limited water availability. Using sensors installed in different sectors of the crop, data on soil moisture and conductivity, as well as the quality of the water used for irrigation, were recorded in real time.
All the information was sent to a centralized management platform for analysis and decision-making.

Thanks to this technology, the grower was able to optimize irrigation and fertigation, adjusting the amount of water and nutrients to the exact needs of the crop at each phenological stage. As a result, a 20% reduction in water consumption, better use of fertilizers and an improvement in fruit quality, reflected in greater size and uniformity, were achieved.
In addition, the alert system enabled early detection of problems such as variations in water quality or water deficiencies in certain areas, avoiding production losses and ensuring efficient irrigation management.
