Murcia, November 28, 2025 – The president of AgritechMurcia, Luis Miguel Peregrín, participated this morning in a high-level roundtable held as part of the event “Fridays in Transition – Water as a Strategic Asset and Financial Risk”, organized by the Bank of Spain at the historic Artillery Barracks in Murcia.
During the panel titled “Territorial, Technological and Innovation Dimensions: Are Management, Efficiency and Technology Long-Term Solutions for a Systemic Risk Like Water?”, Luis Miguel Peregrín shared insights and experiences on how agricultural technology can become a key tool in addressing water and sustainability challenges in adverse climate contexts.
“In the Region of Murcia, we have learned to practice agriculture using every single drop. This positions us today as global leaders in water efficiency and sustainable resource management. Our experience is scalable and replicable in other vulnerable territories,” stated Peregrín before an audience of institutional representatives, international experts, academics, and financial system stakeholders.
The event featured prominent figures such as Councilman Antonio Navarro Corchón, representing the city council, and the Regional Minister for Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Sara Rubira, as well as experts from organizations including the OECD, WWF, University of Alcalá, CaixaBank, and Grupo Cajamar.
AgritechMurcia’s participation in such forums strengthens its position as a strategic player and specialist in sustainable agricultural solutions, capable of engaging with governments, financial institutions, and multilateral organizations.
