The industrial group initiates contacts for knowledge exchange with the prestigious International Centre for Biosaline Agriculture.
AgritechMurcia has shown its model of agricultural success with efficient solutions for water management in Dubai where it has held an extensive agenda of meetings with specifiers and investors who have shown interest in the group as an agro-technological partner.
The aim is for the group’s companies to work with opinion leaders in the area to capture business opportunities in the Middle East, where some of the members of AgritechMur are already working on different projects.
The president of AgritechMur , Luis Miguel Peregrín, stressed that “the technology made in Murcia has aroused the interest of investors both for the development of comprehensive solutions for the implementation of projects and for the technological ecosystem that the group represents”.
The business delegation, which included the secretary general of the Murcia Regional Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment and the commercial attaché of the Spanish Embassy in Dubai, visited production companies in the area, such as Elite Agro, with the aim of collaborating to apply solutions to increase crop production.
Knowledge transfer
AgritechMur has also made contact with the prestigious International Centre for Biosaline Agriculture, ICBA, with whom it shares common interests in researching solutions to the scarcity of water resources and impoverished soils. Thus, it has been agreed to work together to develop training and researcher exchange programmes.
In this sense, it is worth highlighting the commitment to R&D&I of the companies in the group and the transfer of knowledge and technologies, together with the collaboration with a wide network of knowledge centres that make the Region of Murcia a nerve centre for research into agricultural technology and biotechnology solutions.
The industrial group participated in the events of the Region of Murcia at the Dubai Expo, which had as its theme ‘What water gives us’. AgritechMur was part of the Murcian delegation formed by the government of the region of Murcia as well as various business and trade organisations.
