Participation in the event organised by ICEX raises the profile of agricultural technology from the Region of Murcia, which Spain’s Trade Commissioner in Uzbekistan highlighted in his closing remarks.
AgritechMurcia has taken part in the 2026 Agricultural Technology Sector Event in Uzbekistan, organised by ICEX and the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Tashkent. The event brings together Spanish companies from the sector, providing a platform to present their solutions and explore opportunities for collaboration.
The event takes place on 29 and 30 October in Tashkent, with an additional visit to Termez, in the Surkhandarya region, scheduled for 31 October for companies registered for this part of the programme.
Technology from Murcia for better water management
The Region of Murcia has had a strong presence at the event. Alongside AgritechMurcia’s presentation, entitled “…a model of success”, several companies from Murcia featured in today’s presentation programme, including Agrocomponentes, also a member of AgritechMurcia. Together, they showcased the wide range of solutions that the region’s businesses offer the agricultural sector.
In his closing remarks, Spain’s Trade Commissioner in Uzbekistan made special mention of technology from Murcia for optimising water use in agriculture. This recognition highlights the technical expertise developed in the region and its application in international projects.
Water treatment and filtration, drip irrigation and fertigation are among the capabilities AgritechMurcia brings together to address water management within an agricultural project. Its approach makes it possible to coordinate these technologies with farm design, cropping systems and management requirements.
An event to advance collaboration
The programme includes presentations by Spanish companies during the roundtable sessions on Friday, 30 October. It also provides an opportunity to sign any cooperation agreements, declarations of intent or memoranda of understanding that may emerge during the forum.
AgritechMurcia’s presence in Uzbekistan brings Murcia’s agricultural expertise to new international contacts and showcases how its companies can contribute to project development, with a particular focus on water management and the integration of technology on farms.
