The UPCT, and specifically the School of Agricultural Engineering (ETSIA), works in various scientific and technical areas linked to Agricultural Sciences, Food Science and Technology and Plant Biotechnology. A large part of the research work in these areas is carried out in collaboration with the region’s companies, allowing research to be transferred to the business environment through specific and precise technology. The UPCT is configured as a technology transfer centre, intervening in the necessary processes from the production of a fruit and vegetable product to its transformation using eco-innovative technologies that respect the environment and value the contribution of agriculture to the country’s economy.
